| so... it's been a while since I posted up an update... nothing much going on here, but I do want to mention that I've been writing songs that we've been singing at church these days. I think I have (including some re-arrangements of songs) around 6 songs total that we've been singing together during our worship service. I have also been in contact w/ other church worship leaders / coordinators and wanted to do some collaborative work to establish some what of a resource base for church worship. |

| So, my co-worker Dean and I were browsing inside this hole in the wall guitar shop near UCLA the other day (intrigued by "sales" sign) and came across this practice amp that Vox makes. Dean borrowed one of their Yamaha hollow body and gave it a rip and, I must say, we were both pretty impressed. We both left the store and I came home and did some research online and read some reviews. I learned that this is one of Ryan Adam's practice amp. And there were some nice reviews on YouTube as well. So I gave Dean a call over the weekend to tell him that I am going for it. He was on the same dial. so, here is my new little baby amp. Vox Pathfinder 10 ($60) 
It is a sweet little amp and has a lot to offer for the size~ It has two channels clean and overdrive. the clean is what both Dean and I were most impressed by. 
I tried it out w/ Phil's Strat that I borrowed for eons and also tried it on my martin last night and both sounded just incredible. Dean thinks that I should go and get Fulltone's OCD pedal for the electric... but i'll hold for now. |

| Hey everybody~ Just wanted to tell you that I’m going to do an Open Mic at a Coffee House down in Santa Monica that my co-worker told me about this Friday Night (8/22/08). So, the open mic starts at 7:30 PM and they have a feature artist (Michael Kenzik) for I guess 30 min and the rest of us get to go. It’s a random pick so I don’t exactly know when I’ll be up there, but it would be good to just hang out. And one more nice thing about this is that it’s FREE! THE JOINTUN-URBAN COFFEE HOUSE
